Making a Trail

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

We did a mangrove/sea kayaking tour off Koh Lanta in Southern Thailand. It was, as usual, an oppressively hot and humid day, so being near/in the water all day was welcomed.

We paddled our kayaks from a smaller inland tributary to the water separating Koh Lanta Noi and Yai. In the mangrove forest at the edge of Koh Lanta Noi we made 50 new friends–these monkeys:

They were jumping from kayak to kayak in search of pineapple.

Becky got some great posed shots with a few monkeys:

This little bastard chewed through one of our bottles of water–he was pretty proud of himself.

After that we went out into the Andaman sea and kayaked around some smaller islands and limestone formations.

We also cruised around a cave.

It was followed up by some drinks and lunch on tiny BuBu island.
